🌟 Spreading Smiles, Creating Impact | ChESA Social Initiative 2026 🌟
On 8 August 2026, the Chemical Engineering Students’ Association (ChESA), Nirma University, organised a meaningful social initiative “PAHAL2.0” at Andh Apang Kalyan Kendra, Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad, bringing together students, volunteers, healthcare professionals and specially-abled children for an evening filled with care, compassion, joy and meaningful engagement.
🎯 Creating Moments of Joy: The programme featured engaging recreational activities such as block printing, bingo and bowling, encouraging participation, interaction and smiles among the children.
🩺 Health & Wellness Initiative: For the first time at Andh Apang Kalyan Kendra, a dedicated Health Camp was organised in collaboration with Health & Care Foundation and Ensure Path Labs. The camp provided:
👁️ Eye check-ups
🦷 Dental check-ups
❤️ General health check-ups
🩸 Blood-group identification
Children identified with vision-related concerns were also assured of spectacles within a month, extending the impact of the initiative beyond the event itself.
🎁 Supporting Everyday Needs: ChESA distributed donation kits containing school bags, tumblers, perfumes, notebooks and bedsheets to support the children’s educational and daily needs.
🏏 Promoting Recreation & Mobility: For common use, ChESA also contributed cricket stumps and balls, a volleyball net and pump, board games, and three walkers to support recreation and mobility at the centre.
Although a one-day initiative, the programme was much more than an event—it was an opportunity to serve, connect and make a difference. By bringing together healthcare, recreation, essential supplies and companionship, the initiative created memorable moments for the children while reminding all of us that small acts of kindness can create meaningful and lasting impact.
