Advertisement for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Applications are invited from motivated, hardworking and eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the Major Research Project at Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
1. Title of the Project: Performance Enhancement of Solar-Operated Humidifier–Dehumidifier Desalination System for Sustainable Freshwater Production

3. Research Fellow Duties: Junior research fellow is required to perform duties as per research fellow norms of Nirma University. The main duties are mentioned below.
i) To carry out the design and development of Solar desalination system equipped with humidifier-dehumidifier for freshwater production.
ii) Experimental work to carry out a parametric study.
iii) Mathematical modelling and simulation of the system.
iv) Analysis of the results and report preparation.
v) Administrative work related to the project.
4. Sponsoring agency: Nirma University, Ahmedabad
5. Duration of the project: Approx. 3 years
6. Project position and number: JRF, 1 number (One Number)
7. Fellowship amount: The fellowship will be provided as per the rules of the Nirma University. As per prevailing rules, the amount of stipend is as under.
JRF: Rs. 26290/-per month (For first two years)
SRF: Rs. 30030/- per month (For third year)
Notes:
1. When JRF will successfully complete 2 years as JRF, the SRF position will be recommended for third year as per norms of Nirma University.
2. The JRF recruited under the project is encouraged to register for Ph.D. under Faculty of Technology & Engineering, Nirma University subject to fulfilment of the requirements.
8. Eligibility criteria: A master’s degree or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering discipline with at least 55% marks.
9.
