Union Budget 26’ Workshop on Global Women Breakfast Programme 2026

Global Women Breakfast (GWB) is a global and prestigious event which is organized every year by International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) in association with prestigious chemical societies and institutions (Royal Society of Chemistry, American Chemical Society, DE GRUYTER, BAYER) to celebrate the achievements of women and girls in Science. The Department of Chemical Engineering, in collaboration with the Chemical engineering Student Association ChESA, Nirma University and The Association of Chemistry Teachers (India) (Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (TIFR) Mumbai), successfully organized the GWB– 2026 at Nirma University.

On 10th February 2026, a comprehensive and interactive workshop on the Union Budget of India 2026–27 was organized at A-207, Nirma University by Dr. Samir K. Mahajan under the aegis of Global Women Breakfast 2026. The event was successfully guided by Dr. Milind Joshipura (Head, CH Dept) and coordinated by Dr. Neha Patni under the theme of Many Voices One Science.

In conclusion, the workshop successfully demystified the Union Budget process, clarified key economic concepts, and provided a meaningful comparison between the current and previous budgets. Feedback from participants was highly positive, with many appreciating the interactive approach and the practical insights offered during the session.

It fostered financial understanding to all students, being truly gender neutral and fitting in to the theme of GWB2026.
